New Features

1. Grouping Views Feature

Users can now organize Views into groups in Codex. When saving a new Content View, there's an option to add it to a new group or an existing one. This makes it simpler to organize views based on needs and quickly locate the desired content views.

2. Expanded Labels Feature

The Labels feature, initially at the organizational level for use in entries, has been expanded. Users can now assign labels for use in specific sites within an organization and also for assets. This improvement allows users to specify labels for particular sites and assign labels to assets, making it easier to distinguish them according to needs.

3. Unpublish before Delete Entries

A new feature prevents users from deleting published or edited entries directly. Users must now unpublish entries before having the option to delete them from their site. This enhancement safeguards the integrity of published content and minimizes the risk of accidental deletions.

General Improvements

1. Reordering Assets in Media Field/Block

In the entry editor's Media Field and Media Block, a new improvement allows users to arrange an asset or multiple assets at the top. Users can achieve this by selecting the desired asset(s), right-clicking, and choosing the "Move to top" option. This feature simplifies the process of quickly moving assets to the top of the field, especially when dealing with multiple assets.

2. Enhancements to Asset Uploading Process

Significant improvements have been implemented in the Asset Management Hub's uploading process. Users can now simultaneously upload various types of assets from their device by clicking a single "Upload" button. For each uploading asset in the Asset Management Hub, a pop-up will appear at the left-bottom of the screen, displaying the progress of the uploaded assets.

3. Exclusion of AVIF Format from Supported Image Upload Formats

Codex has excluded the AVIF format from the list of supported image upload formats. Consequently, users will no longer have the ability to upload images in the AVIF format.

Bug Fixes

  1. Automatic Assignment of Default Author - Resolved the issue where creating a new entry within an entry failed to automatically assign the default author to the Author field.

  2. Disappearance of Error Messages for Required Metadata - Resolved the issue where error messages for required metadata of assets in the Media field persisted even after filling the fields.

  3. Edit Asset Metadata in Single Media Field - Resolved the issue where the "Edit Asset Metadata" button did not work in a single-type Media field.
