A representation of new additional features and improvements that have been implemented in Codex.

New Features
1. Quicklinks
One of the latest features added to Codex is Quicklinks. This feature provides users with flexibility when adding or using external links within content in articles. It's a more optimized and easy way of storing external links and using them in any articles within a site by only typing words/aliases to the corresponding links.

2. Factbox Block
While writing content for your site in Codex's Content Editor, you may want to highlight different parts of your content to get readers attention to specific parts. You can do so using the Factbox widget which is a part of Article Blocks in Content Editor.

3. Use original image
With our latest feature added to Button widget and Logo widget, users have the flexibility to choose how they want the images uploaded on these widgets to display in front, whether it be compressed or not.

4. No Internet Connection Pop-up
Codex has now added a Pop-up alert that informs users when their internet connection is lost. This will help users know when they have no Internet connection, or lost their Internet connection while changing or adding content with/to Codex Admin, so they can safely use Codex knowing their work is being saved!

5. Autosave indicator
Content created in Layout Builder and Content Editor in Codex is autosaved when in draft mode. You can now see an indicator whenever the content is autosaved in background, both in Layout Builder and Content Editor.

6. Use different Root Layouts
Codex now has a new feature that allows users to add/configure different Roots for different Layout built in Codex, giving them more flexibility and variety when creating header and footer for their site.

General Improvements
1. Default 'Promo' selection in Flexible Articles List
When you add a Flexible Articles List widget in a Layout, you can change how your content will be displayed in that widget on widgets' configurations. To save time for this common configuration of almost all Flexible Articles List, the Promo configuration of the widget is selected by default, upon creation of the Flexible Articles List.

2. Labels as a part of Article Filters
Besides all the available filters by which Articles can be categorized in Article Filters, Labels is offered as an additional category that can be added as a column in Article Filters, for the purpose of filtering articles that contain a specific Label.

3. Search improvements
3.1 Search bar in Gallery selection of Featured Media
To easily find an existing gallery to add in Featured Media of an article, a search bar is implemented in the modal of gallery selection, to facilitate the selection of gallery by typing a gallery name in the search bar.

3.2 Search by initial name in Others filesWhen users upload files in the Asset Management hub, either in Assets or Others menu, the files can be searched using any of the file's metadata, or the file's name.

4. Article SEO Improvements
Text length information - The text length in SEO for Articles, Sections or even in Site Settings is now displayed for information purposes, so the user will know the length of the text they are typing.
Autofilled data - Besides Title and Description in Article SEO that are automatically autofilled with article's content, Codex offers also the Image and Author filled by default in Seo configurations of Content Editor.

5. Gallery List improvements
Edit Images - You can now also edit an image from the Gallery List without having to go to the Images menu and edit the image. The edit image view can now be opened in Gallery List by double clicking on the image.
Select Images - You can bulk edit or delete images within a Gallery List by selecting images one by one or selecting all of them using Select All or Ctrl+A.

6. Default Article Author
Each article in Codex has an Author, including other required data such as Title, Featured Media and Section. You could edit all of these data, including adding an Author for your article. You will now get the Author of an article set by default to the user that initially created the article and can further on add or change who is the Author of an article.

7. Video thumbnail
To improve the loading of VP videos in Codex websites in front, videos retrieved from VP will be initially loaded with the thumbnail of the Video generated from VP, then the whole content will be displayed.

8. Breadcrumb Translations
With the configurations added to this widget, which include the Translations tab, you can now configure dynamically the text for search and tag in both Search Layout and Tag Layout.

Bug Fixes
Flexible Articles List configurations - Show Section Name checkbox configuration not working.
Missing link in Breadcrumb - Missing link in Breadcrumb that navigates you to Others menu, when within a folder in Others.
Delete featured media popup - Missing confirmation popup when deleting a featured media of an article.
Cancel Editing an Image - Couldn't cancel when editing an image using the Cancel button.
